Shiori Kuwahara, born in Tokyo, is an internationally recognized pianist and laureate of major competitions including the Queen Elisabeth Competition (2025), Arthur Rubinstein (2021), and Busoni (2019), where she achieved the highest placement ever by a Japanese pianist.

She has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Israel Philharmonic and Brussels Philharmonic, under conductors including Kazushi Ono and Alexander Lazarev. Her concert appearances span prestigious venues and festivals across Europe, Israel, Asia, and the US.

Kuwahara began piano at age four and graduated top of her class from Tokyo University of the Arts under Kei Itoh. She completed advanced studies in Berlin at the Universität der Künste with Klaus Hellwig, and continued training in Italy and at the Lake Como International Piano Academy. She has worked with artists such as Eliso Virsaladze, Michel Béroff, and Leif Ove Andsnes.
